I don't have the culinary training or talent to come up with my own recipes, but I love to bake (and take pictures). In this blog, I would share some of my favorite recipes, some followed straight to the T, some with minor tweaks. Happy baking!

Apple Dumplings
This is probably my favorite apple recipe! So easy to make, my 9-year old daughter can make it by herself! Needs very few ingredients, too - crescent roll, apples, sugar, butter and Sprite. Comes out soooo good all the time! Would be great with vanilla ice cream!

Omelette muffins
This idea was from Pinterest. No specific recipe...just add any ingredients you want for the omelette then a tablespoon or so of beaten egg. My problem in the past was I added too much egg and it got very "puffy". So take it easy on the egg and go all out on the other ingredients. I especially like tomatoes, green onion, shredded cheese, ham and mushrooms. I usually season the eggs with salt and pepper before I add them to the mixture. Add all the ingredients to muffin pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Mini fruit tart
I have made several mini versions of Paula Deen's fruit tart, perfect as a gift for someone's birthday. The tart is good without the glaze, but the glaze can bring it over the top, in taste and visually as well.
This one with glaze - notice how shiny it is!
No glaze...looks blah!
These are all old photos. I've been reading about food photography and have gotten a few tricks. I'm hoping that my newer photos would be more visually stimulating. What good is a recipe if it has a boring photo? On the other hand, I don't mind posting a mediocre recipe with a stunning photo! I bet the recipe with the better photo would get more "Likes" and more "pins".
Fruit tart
This is one of my ultimate favorites, especially in the summer time when there's plenty of fresh fruits. I followed a suggestion by one reviewer - I added a layer of melted chocolate in between the crust and filling. I'm not very fond of fruit tarts, but the layer of chocolate made all the difference for me! This recipe is from Paula Deen at foodnetwork.com. (recipe link)
Chocolate raspberry thumbprints
Not one of the greatest cookies I've tried, but not a bad one eitther. Recipe is from kraftrecipes.com. (recipe link)

Oreo truffles
When I first made Oreo truffles 3 years ago, they were so good that I didn't even bother to dip them in chocolate! Just slapped on some Christmas sprinkles and they were pretty enough for gift giving and oh so yummy!
Drop cookies
I made these cookies 3 years ago to give to co-workers as presents for Christmas I cant remember any more which recipe I used...but these were very good! They just melt in your mouth!
Chocolate crinkles
Another one of my favorites! Very soft and moist! If you like chocolate, this cookie will hit the spot. Recipe from allrecipes.com. I bake this once a year, especially during the Christmas holidays! This recipe is from allrecipes.com (Click here for recipe)
